Terms of service

The agreement, in plain English.

Last updated: May 25, 2026

1. Who you're agreeing with

"SpendPace", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Have Faith Inc., a corporation registered in Canada. "You" means the person using the SpendPace mobile app and this website.

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use SpendPace.

2. What SpendPace is

SpendPace is a payday-aware spending speedometer. You tell us your pay schedule and what's already committed to bills and set-asides; we calculate what's safe to spend until your next payday. We don't connect to your bank, we don't move money on your behalf, and we are not a financial institution.

SpendPace is not financial advice. The numbers in the app are math based on what you've entered. They are not a recommendation to spend or not spend. Use your judgement.

3. Your account

You need an account to use SpendPace. You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method (email, Apple ID, or Google account) secure. We won't ask for your sign-in credentials and we recommend you turn on the Face ID lock in Settings.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deletion is permanent — we have no way to recover the data after.

4. Subscription & billing

SpendPace is free for the first 14 days. After the trial, continued access requires a subscription:

  • Monthly — $3.99 CAD/month
  • Annual — $29.99 CAD/year

Prices are subject to change with notice. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's standard subscription terms — including auto-renewal and the way Apple handles refunds. You can cancel anytime in your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

If you cancel, the app stays installed and your data stays in your account, but features that require an active subscription become read-only until you resubscribe or delete the account.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Use SpendPace to do anything illegal or to harm anyone else.
  • Try to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our source code.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Send us deliberately malformed requests, run automated scrapers against our infrastructure, or otherwise interfere with the service.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

The financial information you enter into SpendPace (pay schedule, bills, expenses, etc.) is yours. You're granting us permission to store, process, and display it back to you so the app works. We are not granted ownership of your data, and we will not use it to train models, sell to third parties, or build advertising profiles.

7. Service availability & changes

We try to keep SpendPace running 24/7 but can't promise uninterrupted service. We may have to take the app down briefly for maintenance, security patches, or bug fixes. We'll do our best to time outages thoughtfully and to communicate them in-app or via email.

Product features will evolve. We may add, remove, or change features over time. We won't remove or break features you've paid for during your current billing period without offering a refund of the unused portion.

8. Disclaimers

SpendPace is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the calculations will always be correct. The "safe to spend" number is math based on the inputs you provide; if those inputs are wrong, the number will be wrong.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to SpendPace will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we've been advised of the possibility of those damages.

10. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to first try to resolve any dispute by emailing hello@spendpace.ca. If we can't, the dispute will be resolved in the courts of Quebec, Canada.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll email registered users and surface a notice in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms. The current version always lives at spendpace.ca/terms.html.
